Course Description
Sleep deprivation is pervasive among women, especially if they are pregnant or have young children. It occurs when they fail to get the amount of sleep they need, day in and day out. Causes of sleep deprivation include insomnia, or by interrupted sleep due to children or needing to go to the toilet. If sleep deprivation is chronic, it can have a negative impact on brain, metabolic, and immune health1.

- What is sleep deprivation and what contributes to it.
- Why sleep is as important as exercise and healthy eating.
- Easy lifestyle guidance to help your client get back in to healthy sleep habits.
- What kinds of exercise, at what time of day and why, for your client with sleep deprivation.
- Case study with a real client and how we managed mitigated, or trained despite her sleep problems, in two 30min sessions per week, as best we could.
