Course Description
Fibroids, also known as Leiomyomas, are benign, non-cancerous tumors within the muscle of the uterus. By 50 years old, 70% of white women and 80% of black women in America will have at least one fibroid1, and about 30% of these are diagnosed when a woman is between the ages 45 and 49 years old (in other words, while they’re already navigating peri menopause)2.
Fibroids are the most common noncancerous tumour in women3.
