Did you know that one in four pregnancies end in a miscarriage; a a taboo and often secret trauma, often shrouded in stigma and silence? The statistics may just scratch the surface, because there are many, early pregnancies meeting a similar fate in the that go unreported. In this session we shall embark on a journey to demystify the veiled truths of miscarriage. Together, we shall explore its causes, its symptoms, and how to help guide your clients through the labyrinth of grief.

As we delve deeper into understanding, we shall also share Clare’s personal story and the story of a friend of hers, breaking apart the taboo and reducing the fear and shame around the topic.

This course is for trainers who:

  • Are training women of menstruating age
  • Are training pregnant and post natal populations
  • Want to expand their awareness around issues that support women
  • Want to experience a deeper level of understanding around women’s life experiences
  • Want to ensure they’re doing the best by their female client’s who have experienced or are experiencing miscarriage

In this session, we’ll aim to answer the questions:

  • What exactly is a miscarriage?
  • What causes a miscarriage?
  • What are the symptoms of miscarriage?
  • What to do when a client appears to be miscarrying.
  • Training considerations for miscarriage prevention and for the client’s return to exercise post miscarriage.
