Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS)

Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) is a serious, long-term illness that affects the whole body and contributes to sleep problems1. Complicating things, people with ME/CFS may not look sick, but they are not able to function like they did before they became ill. They may have problems completing everyday tasks such as showering or preparing a meal. They may find it too difficult to socialise, go to school, or come to the gym. Some people will be house or bed-bound for long periods, which can lead to secondary illness and injury2.
